Charis met her husband, Dr. Don, while attending the University of Puget Sound, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. Charis’ involvement at a young age in her family’s business catalyzed her entrepreneurial spirit. While Dr. Don was in dental school, she started her own marketing business and later helped him start his orthodontic practice.

Charis loves spending time at home with Dr. Don and their Papillon, Heidi. She also enjoys taking Dr. Don on adventures around the world.
Carol has worked in the orthodontic profession for over 40 years; bringing a wealth of knowledge to our team! She has seen major changes in patient care and technologies, and is thrilled to be part of a practice that continues to implement these advancements. In addition to working in our office, Carol is a respected international speaker and orthodontic consultant.

A third generation Californian, Carol was born and raised in the central valley and now lives in the North Bay with her husband, Randy, and chocolate lab, Java. Carol enjoys travel, reading, and trying out new restaurants and wineries.
Kayla was born and raised in Novato. She graduated from San Marin High School and attended Boston Reed College, where she received her certificate as a Medical Assistant. Kayla has been in the medical field since 2012 and is fluent in Spanish.

Kayla stays busy outside of the office spending time with her family and her young twin girls. She also enjoys outdoor activities and traveling to experience new places.
Olga Poole, RDA
Olga became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2008 after attending the College of Marin. She has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Physical Education from Bogota, Colombia and is fluent in Spanish.
“I love that every day I get to help children and adults feel good about themselves and their smiles. Our office has such a wonderful atmosphere; it is positive and upbeat. We all have a good time together, while helping each other so that our patients receive the best care possible.”
Olga has been a swimming instructor for more than twenty years. She loves to swim and bike with her family. She has two children and a stepdaughter. Her husband, Glen, is a local tour guide and they attend Grace Church of Marin.
Karen Hosking, RDA
Lab, Communications, Purchasing Coordinator
Karen joined Dr. Don’s team in 2005, just 1 year after it opened!

Karen grew up in Novato and has 3 kids. Her son, Christopher, works with her husband Bill. Her twin daughters attending UC Davis; Melissa is an English major and Megan (aspiring future orthodontist) works at our office during school breaks. Karen loves exploring different states while camping with her family. Her Pomeranian, Cody, and 5 chickens also provide daily entertainment!
Phuong Yeh, RDA
Phuong grew up in Vietnam and came to the US when she was 17. She attended College of Marin to become an RDA, and is fluent in English and Vietnamese.

In her spare time, Phuong likes to hang out with her husband and their two cute French Bulldogs, Dobie and Meatball. She also loves traveling to places with nice beaches and warm sand.
Sterilization & Records Technician
Karla grew up in Sonoma and graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry. She has future plans to become a dentist or physician’s assistant. Karla is also fluent in Spanish.

Karla enjoys reading and going on hikes in her free time.
Patient Services Coordinator
Maria grew up in Petaluma. She enjoys making others smile and creating meaningful relationships with everyone. Maria was born in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish.
“Orthodontics is a life changing experience and I am honored to be a part of the process. Helping our patients with scheduling or simply putting a smile on their faces is my ultimate goal. The biggest plus is working with an incredibly professional and knowledgeable team!”
Outside of the office, Maria’s passions include her family, cooking, reading and exploring new places. Things that make her smile are doggies and kids!
Christy is passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives. Christy has lived in both Spain and Mexico and is fluent in Spanish.

Christy lives in Novato with her husband and two children. Christy stays active by working out, hiking, traveling and being outdoors with her family.

Megan is currently attending the University of California, Davis for her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. An aspiring orthodontist, she works at our office during her school breaks. Part of the team since 2014, she has gained knowledge and experience in the field she’s come to love.
